Applied Ocean Sciences

I designed and built the full website for Applied Ocean Sciences, a company developing cutting-edge ocean tech.
One of the most important pages is the BOREALIS product page, built with a CRO-first approach to drive pre-orders and make information easy to access.
CRO Highlights
🧭 Sticky Section Navigation
A sticky secondary nav bar (desktop + mobile) lets users jump to key sections instantly using anchor links—no endless scrolling, especially on mobile.

📌 Persistent Pre-Order CTA
- Desktop: Pre-order button is stickied to the top of the page.
- Mobile: Button becomes a sticky bottom bar for easier access with thumbs.
- Reduces friction and keeps the action visible at all times.

💳 Stripe Integration
Pre-orders are processed directly through Stripe. Seamless and fast checkout.

Page Structure: CRO-Optimized
The content was designed to guide users through a clear narrative:
- What is BOREALIS?
Quick overview of the product and what it does. - The Problem
Pain points in marine monitoring: cost, complexity, device compatibility, and short deployments. - How BOREALIS Solves It
Each challenge matched with a solution: ultra-low power, modular design, Bristlemouth ecosystem, and onboard edge processing. - Applications
Real-world use cases for ocean monitoring and research. - Technical Specs
Cleanly presented for decision-makers and engineers. - Bristlemouth Ecosystem
Highlights compatibility, modularity, and future-proofing. - CEO Webinar
Embedded video explaining BOREALIS—adds trust and depth.

Outcome
A product page that informs, builds trust, and drives action. Every element—from layout to CTA placement—is designed to convert.
Out of respect for my client's preferences and confidentiality, I’m linking directly to a few of the pages I had the privilege of designing for Ampd Energy. Please visit them here:
